Neil Folsom

Neil was born in Reno, Nevada and grew up throughout the United States and Europe, attending high school in Bavaria. After graduating from the University of South Florida, he spent seven years in Europe exploring and working in outdoor recreation. Since 1986, Neil has been focusing on the marine environment, in particular marine mammals, seabirds and coral reef ecology. In 1985 Neil was certified as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and has been a PADI divemaster since 1989. He has led expeditions from the rainforests of the neo-tropics, to the glaciers of southeast Alaska, to the cultural and historical treasures of Europe. Neil currently calls the Kitsap Peninsula on Puget Sound home.
