Steve Ewing
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Steve fell in love with the beauty of the natural world at an early age. In addition to nature, his other main passion was telling stories though the medium of television and radio. Steve studied broadcast journalism at the University of Oregon. There, he learned how to shoot, edit, and report compelling stories using digital video.
Steve joined Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic in 2002 as a video chronicler. He has been fortunate enough to travel to many amazing locales in the role of video chronicler including Antarctica, Alaska, Baja, Galápagos, Central America, the Baltic Sea, Greenland, and Arctic Russia. He excels in creating unique videos of every expedition he joins and capturing the magic of these shared experiences. For six years, Steve served as the digital media field manager for Lindblad-National Geographic.
As a video chronicler, Steve has his cameras at-the-ready 24 hours a day and seven days a week, with just one goal: to capture the essence of each expedition. Voyage DVDs are available at the end of each expedition—they often prove to be remarkable ways of remembering and recapturing the magic of these remarkable journeys.
In his free time, he enjoys geocaching, still photography, traveling, podcasting, and pub trivia.
