Today was our first full day of activity and this morning, our National Geographic Islander guests were very anxious to start exploring our Archipelago.  That was the reason we offered a pre-breakfast activity to the top of Bartolome Island before it was too hot.  Once at the top we enjoyed one of the most iconic views in the Galapagos.  During this time of year the sun rises a bit earlier than normal which makes a big difference at the equatorial line, especially if we had in mind to accomplish all the activities.

After our amazing hike we disembarked onto a beautiful golden colored beach in order to enjoy water activities.  Galapagos is very well known for water activities because there are opportunities to swim with marine reptiles, sea lions, sea birds and fish.  There are only a few places on earth where one has the privilege to swim with all of them at the same time.

In the afternoon, and after a much deserved nap, we anchored our ship for a new adventure on a different Island.  Rabida has just one visitor site on the entire Island, but it offers wonderful conditions for hikes, water activities, kayaking and beach activities.

Today we had the opportunity to snorkel twice, once in the morning and again in the afternoon, and both were very interesting and different as well. Everyone was commenting about their sightings, such as sharks, rays, turtles, sea lions, penguins, marine iguanas and many fish of different species in a single day.

Our final activity took place on a beautiful red colored beach  with plenty of sea lions to entertain us  and a very romantic Galapagos sun set.

It was a very full day for everybody and I’m sure the memories will stay with our dear guests forever.
