Today began with an optional early morning wake up call, for those who wished to reach the summit of Bartolome Island by climbing 375 wooden steps, reaching about 312 feet for one of the most majestic views of the archipelago. A misty rain, called garua, makes gives a mysterious look at this wonderful place.
After our industrious morning, we returned onboard for a delicious breakfast. After a brief rest, we were preparing to head back out for water activities, snorkeling, glass-bottom boat rides and a fun walk along the beach.
Soon we are repositioning to Sombrero Chino, where we saw the Galapagos penguin while riding the Zodiacs and snorkeling in the area.
We are now back onboard celebrating, as we have reached the peak of our expedition. It is incredible to take this journey with this small group of people, and as we explore we become a big family.
