Seeing wild animals in their environment is an exception, not the rule. Touching gray whales in their environment is an exception to the exception. We have been very fortunate whale watching on National Geographic Sea Lion the past few days at Boca de la Soledad; the following are a collection of sentiments based on guest experiences:
“Seeing – let alone touching – these magnificent animals makes me realize it’s everyone’s responsibility to protect and preserve the environment so that generations to come can have the same experience that we’ve enjoyed.”
“Incredibly humbled by this experience.”
“Grateful for the creator humoring me with this meeting.”
“What the good golly are these whales thinking.”
“Sharing this experience with some very special people.”
“Making a spiritual connection with another being.”
“The ability to be here in a beautiful location.”
“Heart opening.”
