We started our final day in Greenland exploring Kangerlussuaq Fjord, where we were treated to stunning views. Shortly after breakfast, the fog lifted, revealing the mouth of the fjord, littered with beautiful icebergs. Peaks cloaked with low-lying clouds towered in the distance. Many guests rushed to the bow to photograph this sight and bid farewell to Greenland, as this was our final view of its shore. The rest of the day was spent at sea, traveling toward Iceland. We passed the time with multiple insightful presentations: our naturalist Ciaran Cronin shared his expertise on animal migration; Stefano Pozzi spoke of his experiences living year-round above the Arctic Circle; and our Global Perspective Guest Speake; and Ari Gudmundsson prepared us for Iceland with a presentation on the island’s very active geology. Another highlight of the day came when guests were invited to tea in the laundry room, where they were able to tour the service facilities on board.
