Today was our last day in Magdalena Bay. The activities for today included kayaking and Zodiac cruising among the mangroves. There was a chance to see the birds and a few of the fishes of the mangroves as well as the different types of mangrove trees that grow in the quiet water of the bay. These trees have evolved similar strategies to combat or exclude the salt from the water so they can grow while sitting in seawater. The afternoon was spent in the Zodiacs, watching for gray whales. There were several to see at the entrance to Magdalena Bay. This was our last stop before heading south to Cabo San Lucas.
