Cabo San Lucas, Gorda Bank

After a beautifully smooth ride south from Bahia Magdalena, we awoke this morning with the light at Cabo Falso in view. We stopped to watch a few gray whales before breakfast, and then pulled alongside the dock in downtown Cabo San Lucas. About half of us chose to spend the morning snorkeling, while the other half decided to explore the town. Just after lunch Captain Graves nosed the Sea Bird in for a view of the famous arch at Land's End, before heading east into the Sea of Cortez.

We spent our afternoon on the deck in the sun with bowriding bottlenose dolphins, leaping mobulas, humpbacks and gray whales. We were even able to see dozens of large jellyfish and a shark under the bow!
