This morning we found the sun reflected on the solid granite of Friar's Rock at Cabo San Lucas. As the vessel came close to the arch we realized the power of water erosion after thousands of years of carving the distinctive feature of the Land's End. When we retreated to take course to dock again, hundreds of frigate birds, pelicans, gulls and several California sea lions turned heads toward us as if wondering what sort of creatures we were. Later on we snorkeled in a public beach whilst others were birding in the middle of the desert. These were special moments because we discovered the delicious weather and dream-like landscapes of Cabo. The afternoon saluted us with delightful views of humpback whales displaying many kinds of behavior, including their incredible vocalizations, shows of pectoral fins and breaches. At night we were fully satisfied with those wonderful gifts from nature.
