After a dawn landing in South Georgia yesterday, the guests aboard National Geographic Orion enjoyed a leisurely day on the ship cruising the Scotia Sea. The Scotia Sea is bordered on the west by the Drake Passage, which is notoriously known for rough seas. Luckily, the odds were in our favor and we scampered about our day without any major bumps or swells. While some enjoyed a lecture about plankton, others enjoyed sipping a cappuccino and watching the seabirds follow our wake. We are well rested for any adventure tomorrow holds.
