Today began with a glass-smooth Gulf and the pursuit of marine mammals. We weren't disappointed as several magnificent humpback whales appeared and put on a marvelous show. The afternoon found us in the port of Cabo San Lucas, where many guests enjoyed the town while others went on a bird walk or snorkeling on a delightful tropical beach. The snorkelers were treated to many new fish including this vividly colored Moorish idol. Moorish idols are one of the few fishes that can be found in all tropical Pacific waters. We left port and welcomed the sunset as it highlighted the towering rocks known as The Friars, which mark land's end of the Baja Peninsula. As we entered the Pacific's open waters we all eagerly anticipate tomorrow's adventure in Magdelena Bay.
